I am ecstatic to announce that queer horror author, Henry Corrigan, and I had a talk approved for the Queer Horror Conference next week on February 6 from 4:30 – 5:45 PM (EST)!

Talk Topic:
Queerness, Godhood & the Trauma of Inherited Violence
Description:
“To err is human, monstrous, and divine.
Viktor Frankenstein and his Creature sit at the epicenter of queerness, divinity, and violence. In this presentation, the panelists will, through modern studies and scholarship, show how the quest for identity, a sense of self, and the right to direct the course of one’s own life will always label a person an unholy creation.
But what separates the unholy from the truly monstrous is the knowledge that the battle for personal freedom will always be lost when it costs the control of another person.”

The Queer Horror Conference is virtual and presented by the Horror Writer’s Association and the Horror Studies Working Group at the University of Pittsburgh. It takes place from February 6 – 7, but there is a kickoff on the evening of February 5.
